Passionate About Bringing Business Resources to the Equine Industry

Christy Zweig Niehues has been passionate about horses since she could walk.  As a competitive eventer, barn owner, and trainer, she balances an active farm life with time in the office.

Christy has experience managing large professional equestrian operations.  She grew up riding and working at a number of boarding barns in Massachusetts and worked for the University of South Carolina Equestrian team in college.  In 2009, she was the horseback riding director for the Girl Scouts of the Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys and was responsible for the care and feed of 23 camp horses, and overall management of a lesson and trail riding program.

After working for the Girl Scouts, Christy became a licensed real estate agent in Arkansas and purchased her first farm, a cabin and set of outbuildings needing extensive renovations.  In 2011, Christy began working for a management consulting company focusing on the architecture and engineering industry, igniting her passion for business and research. She currently is director of research and E-commerce.

Christy went back to school to obtain a master's degree in business, then built a larger farm from scratch on 24 -acres, leading to the expansion of her boarding and training business.  Christy realized that many boarding barns, training businesses, tack shops, and feed distributors were struggling to find ways to effectively run their businesses, yet resources specific to the equine industry were not readily available.  Realizing she could help provide a solutions, Stable Business was formed.

Today in here spare time, Christy enjoys working with off-the-track-thoroughbreds and is furthering her education in the hopes of competing at the upper levels of eventing.
